What data is collected and how data is being collected.

I do not personally collect any data, apart from the names and email addresses from visitor’s who fill in the Contact form – the message comes into my email box.

 

I respectfully ask that this contact form is used for and by the following: I invite genuine thoughts or queries about my writing, from readers or fellow writers, from producers, directors, actors, writing group members and more of the same. Thank you.

 

I do not collect information about a visitor’s interests or demographic information such as their gender, age, income or marital status. I don’t know if any third parties do – although I think it unlikely as I’m not selling directly from my site.

 

What I do with the data when someone contacts me through the Contact Form and how you can control your data

 

Emails from my contact form on charlieclarkewriter.co.uk are dealt with in the following ways:

 

All sales pitches are automatically deleted.

 

Genuine messages as detailed above in the paragraph which begins, ‘I respectfully ask’, are answered to the best of my ability in the fullness of time, and if appropriate, your name and email address is added to my email contact list. I will not add anyone’s name or email to my contact list, if that request is made, within their message to me on the contact form. I may occasionally send details of new information regarding my writing, such as the launch of a new book, new blog or video if I think it may be of interest.

 

This website doesn’t offer subscription, however, if after sending me a message through the contact form, and you haven’t requested I don’t add your name and email address to my contacts and I later send any information you do not require or want, please email me letting me know, and I will immediately delete your name and email address from my contact list.

 

I do not collect data using cookies or any others trackers placed on a visitor’s computer browser. However, I don’t know if any third party does so – although again, I think it unlikely as nothing is sold through this website.

 

How I protect the data

The names and emails sent to me through the Contact Form on this website, charlieclarkewriter.co.uk, receive the same protection as I receive, from my email provider.
